The Brain Fart

I sat down one day and tried
to write a poem from the heart
but each time I got started
my mind had a brain fart
it really blew my mind apart
trying to think of what came next
I couldn't figure out what I was doing
each time i would forget
oh yes I had a brain fart
my mind it was so blank
it stinks of something terrible
when your words are a mistake.
I tried to keep on writing
but could not finish what I started
cause each time I would try again
my mind would start the farting
