The night in shining
armour that she waited for so long
She hoped he would
come seeking her with strong & open arms.
She hoped he would
bear presents of honesty and love.
He flew away so
swiftly like a beautiful white dove.
He wanted to come calling, but
did not know where to look.
This is such a
horrible ending for a chapter in her book.
And then one day the
news came that would break her dreams in two.
She thought it was a
bad joke, that it could not be the truth.
She found out that
the prince she waited for had given up his life.
He’d never carry her
away & she would never be his wife.
She sits each evening
waiting to meet him once again.
When the judgement
day is over, their new life to begin.
